Blue Mirror in a Glass House
My creative journey began when I moved into a house with beautiful natural light coming in through the windows. I bought stained glass supplies from Whittemore-Durgin in Rockland, Massachusetts. The first thing I made was a simple Cross for my friend Cindy, then Grumpy Frog for my sister Rebecca, the Blue Footed Booby for my sister Alison, and the Sea Turtle for my friend Zoe. Additional pieces include the Blue Lobster, a Tree Frog, and most recently the Golden Eagle and the rooster.
I was unable to make enough glass panels for my family and friends, so I learned how to photograph my stained glass pieces. For example, the Lobster was photographed with sunlight reflecting off of it's blue iridescent glass. The Rooster was made with glass including textured clear glass that showed blue sky and green trees in the background.
I began to take pictures of local scenes like the Wampatuck Beach Chairs at sunset. Indoor flowesr and toy photos were taken with Prism Rainbows Refracting onto their surfaces, thanks to 2 Prisms in my Kitchen Window.
To print my designs, I work with Printify, a reputable Print-on-Demand company in conjunction with Etsy. Printify is in business with specialty print provider shops in the U.S. and around the world. They print my designs onto the chosen products and ship them to customers internationally.
